Grades K-8

Here at St. Mary’s School, all students have a structured school schedule. We want our students to have ample time to fully understand each and every subject. We know that age and maturity plays a big part in attention spans and time management, which is why we have varying class times. Even with the variation in class durations, they all follow the Daily School Schedule.dress-down-day-part-deux-owsbgq-clipart

Our younger students have shortened classes to keep them fully engaged in all their studies. Our older students have extended class periods, with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students switching classrooms for their classes. This helps to prepare our older students for their transition into High School.

Our school follows the Lincoln Diocese curriculum guidelines, with education in Religion, Mathematics, Fine Arts, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. We also give our students the opportunity to use field trips and outdoor play as a means of learning. We know that life skills are not only learned in the classrooms, but also doing hands-on activities in various locations outside of the school grounds. Students are encouraged to interact in playful activities to allow them to fully explore their social skills. Multiple recess times are given during the day for these social interactions.
