My name is Cristin Conner, I teacher 6th, 7th and 8th grade Science and Reading at St. Mary’s School.  Twice a year I am blessed to have the opportunity to travel to South Dakota and work with the Lakota people of the Pine Ridge reservation.  Life is very hard on the reservation.  With cold weather quickly approaching, winter weather items are a necessity.  Also as the school year lakotaprogresses, the students at the local schools are running short on school supplies.  Any items you choose to donate will be greatly appreciated.  Please be generous in your donations, my goal will be to fill up a U-Haul!  Students can bring donations and place them in the red trash can outside my room.  Donations can also be dropped off at the school office after school.

Suggested Items needed:  new and used coats for adults, warm blankets, sleeping bags, scarves, mittens, hats, school supplies (pencils, pens, notebooks, backpacks).

We are also collecting toys for both boys and girls of all ages for Christmas gifts. Items needed would include: all types of balls (basketball, soccer, baseball, etc.) coloring books and crayons, puzzles, legos, dolls, building blocks, chalk, board games, and books. If you have a question about any questions about what we can  accept, please contact me through our school office at 402-476-3987. Donations will be collected until December 7.

Thank you for all of your help in this matter,

Cristin Conner
